River cruises in the Seine

River cruises with accommodation
With a fleet of 20 river liners from different nationalities (French, Dutch, German, Swiss, Australian, American...), an international clientele (Americans, English, Germans) sails, from mid-March to mid-November, on the Seine from Paris to Honfleur, and Le Havre. This constantly growing fleet helps strengthen what’s on offer and increase the number of cruise passengers. The ports of call in the Port of Rouen region are Honfleur (a popular place for companies along with Paris), Caudebec-en-Caux and Rouen.
REAL FLOATING HOTELS
Like ocean liners, river cruise ships are real floating hotels with restaurants, shops, theatres... Up to 135 metres long, they can accommodate up to 190 passengers.
THE SEINE AXIS OFFER
HAROPA with all its partners (VNF and local authorities) offers river cruise operators:
- A network of eleven stopovers from Paris to Le Havre as close as possible to the tourist sites of the Paris Seine Normandy area;
- A wintering option with the possibility of carrying out maintenance work in the HAROPA ports of Le Havre and Rouen.
AN APPROACH TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF RIVER CRUISING
HAROPA and VNF are setting up a plan to support the development of the sector in consultation with local authorities and the various operators. This partnership approach aims to optimize infrastructure and services and to best meet the needs of operators.
Cruise trips
Cruise trips, guided tours on the water, continue to progress on our territory. In Honfleur, the motor launches La Jolie France and La Lieutenance take many tourists every year to discover Honfleur and its surroundings. In Rouen, since the disappearance of the launch Cavelier de la Salle, new tour boats have taken up residence in our port - La Bodega and L'Escale from the company La Bodega en Seine, and La Lutèce from Normandie Croisières. Industrial port facilities and sea-going vessels have become subjects of interest and curiosity for visitors, as have the landscapes of the Seine Valley.
Impressionism, serving Normandy's tourist development
In accordance with the forecasts of the World Tourism Organisation (WTO), world tourism has grown considerably. The Seine axis benefits from this development. Tourism stakeholders have created a regional brand linked to the exceptional cultural heritage of the "impressionist" movement and developed a common strategy to make it more attractive to international tourists.
