The energy transition

The law of 17 August 2015 on the energy transition for green growth is an "action and mobilization" law that involves the commitment of the entire country: citizens, companies, territories, public authorities. It will enable France to strengthen its energy independence, reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and give everyone concrete tools to accelerate green growth.

HAROPA - Port of Rouen, an actor in the territory of the Seine estuary, through its heritage, its skills and its role as a regional coordinator linked to the development and economy of the territory, has been involved for several years in numerous actions to limit its environmental and energy impact.
This approach, through its environmental policy, responds to environmental challenges such as the fight against climate change, preservation of resources and promotion of responsible production and consumption patterns.

The actions in favour of the energy transition are divided, on the port territory and within the establishment, into four main areas:

  • Promoting sustainable transport and mobility modes
  • Developing renewable energies and associated installations
  • Promoting synergies on the territory
  • Reducing greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption
